CHICKEN WITH MUSTARD CREAM
RECIPE INGREDIENTS
– 4 chicken breasts
– 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard.
– 1 cup heavy cream.
– 1/2 cup chicken broth.
– 1 onion, chopped.
– 3 cloves garlic, chopped.
– 2 tablespoons olive oil.
– 1 tablespoon butter.
– Salt and pepper to taste.
– Chopped fresh parsley for garnish.
PREPARATION METHOD
– Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper to taste.
– In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
– Add the chicken breasts and brown on both sides until cooked through.
– Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
– In the same skillet, add the butter and chopped onion.
– Sauté until the onion is golden and tender.
– Add the minced garlic and cook for one more minute.
– Stir in the Dijon mustard and mix well with the onion and garlic.
– Add the chicken broth and bring the mixture to a boil.
– Reduce the heat to medium and add the heavy cream.
– Simmer, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens.
– Return the chicken breasts to the pan and cover with the mustard sauce.
– Simmer for 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend.
– Remove from the heat and garnish with chopped fresh parsley. – Serve the chicken in warm mustard cream, accompanied by rice, potatoes or vegetables of your choice.
