Condensed Milk Biscuits

Ingredients

• 2½ cups (315g) all-purpose flour
• ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
• ½ cup (120g) sweetened condensed milk
• ½ cup (60g) icing sugar
• ½ tsp baking powder
• ¼ tsp salt
• 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 170°C (340°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

2. Cream the softened butter and icing sugar until light and fluffy.

3. Add the condensed milk and vanilla extract, then mix until smooth.

4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.

5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix until a soft dough forms.

6. Roll the dough out to about ¼ inch (6 mm) thick on a lightly floured surface.

7. Cut into your desired shapes using cookie cutters.

8. Arrange the biscuits on the prepared tray, leaving a little space between them.

9. Use a fork to gently press a pattern onto the surface if desired.

10. Bake for 12–15 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden.

11. Allow the biscuits to cool on the tray for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

12. Store in an airtight container.
