Calzone with puff pastry
120 g cooked ham
8 slices of puff pastry (frozen), 2 slices per portion
100 g salami
1 bell pepper
150 g cheese, grated
Oregano
2 egg yolks
Some tomato paste
Salt and pepper
A few tomatoes
Garlic
Preparation
First, let the puff pastry thaw and prick it with a fork and let it rest for a while.
Now place the puff pastry on a baking tray or baking paper that has been rinsed with cold water.
Then, in the meantime, cut the peppers, tomatoes, ham and salami into cubes.
Then mix these ingredients together and season with the spices.
Now grate the cheese and put it to one side.
Next, spread the tomato paste on the puff pastry – leaving a 1 cm border free.
Then spread the mixture of peppers, tomatoes, ham, 2 egg yolks and salami on the dough.
Finally, sprinkle the grated cheese on top.
Now moisten the edge of the puff pastry and place the second piece of dough on top, press it down and brush it with the beaten egg yolk.
Bake in the preheated oven at approx. 200°C for 20 – 30 minutes until golden brown.
