Apple chocolate muffins
Apple chocolate muffins are so moist. Apple cubes and chocolate chips are mixed into the simple chocolate batter. You will make these apple and chocolate muffins again and again!
INGREDIENTS (For 12 muffins)
125 g soft butter
125 g sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs (size M)
200 g wheat flour (type 405)
40 g baking cocoa
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
80 ml milk
100 g chocolate chips
1 large apple
PREPARATION
Step 1
Line a muffin tray (12 cavities) with paper cases. Mix soft butter with sugar and vanilla extract until creamy, then stir the eggs into the batter one by one. Mix and sift the flour, cocoa, baking powder and cinnamon. Briefly stir the dry ingredients into the dough and stir everything with the milk until smooth. Finally, fold in the chocolate drops by hand.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees top/bottom heat (fan oven: 160 degrees). Wash, peel and quarter the apple and remove the core, then cut the flesh into small cubes.
Step 3
Mix half of the apple cubes into the dough and put the rest aside for a moment. For each chocolate apple muffin, put about 2 tablespoons of dough into the molds – the molds should be about two-thirds full.
Step 4
Spread the remaining apple cubes on the chocolate apple muffins and bake them in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes. After baking, let the chocolate muffins with apple cool down and serve. The chocolate apple muffins will keep for at least 3 days if they are hermetically sealed at room temperature.
