Baked chicken thighs are a delicious culinary option.  They are seasoned with herbs and spices, then baked until the skin is crispy and the meat is tender.  They are a versatile and comforting dish to enjoy on any occasion.

Ingredients:

• 4 chicken thighs (you can use more if you wish)

• 2 tablespoons of olive oil

• 2 cloves of garlic, minced

• 1 teaspoon dried thyme

• 1 teaspoon dried rosemary

• 1 teaspoon paprika

• Salt and pepper to taste

• Juice of 1 lemon

• Lemon slices to decorate (optional)

• Chopped fresh parsley to decorate (optional)

Before preparing baked chicken thighs, be sure to season them well with your favorite spices and marinate them if you have time to enhance the flavor.

Preparation:

1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (392°F).

2. Wash the chicken thighs and dry them with kitchen paper.  This will help the skin crisp up as it bakes.

3. In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, minced garlic, thyme, rosemary and paprika.  Add salt and pepper to taste.  This mixture will be your marinade.

4. Place the chicken thighs on a baking sheet and spread the marinade over them, making sure to cover them completely.

5. Squeeze the lemon juice over the chicken thighs and place some lemon slices on the tray if you wish, as they will add a fresh flavor to the dish.

6. Bake the chicken thighs in the preheated oven for approximately 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.  Cooking time may vary depending on the size of the thighs, so make sure they are cooked internally (the internal temperature should be at least 75°C or 165°F).

7. Once they are ready, remove the chicken thighs from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.  This will help the juices redistribute and make the thighs juicier.

8. You can decorate the thighs with a little fresh chopped parsley before serving, if you wish.
