Macaroni and tuna casserole

The macaroni and tuna casserole tastes amazing and is quick to prepare. Topped with cheese, the pasta casserole is guaranteed to be a treat for the whole family!

INGREDIENTS

FOR THE MACARONI AND TUNA CASSEROLE

500 g macaroni
1 onion
1 clove of garlic
25 g tomato paste
400 g canned tomatoes
150 ml cream
¼ tsp salt
2 pinches of pepper
2 – 3 tbsp olive oil
200 g canned tuna
150 g Emmental cheese (sliced ​​or grated)

ALSO

a little olive oil for the dish
1 clove of garlic for the dish

PREPARATION

1. Cook the macaroni in plenty of salted water until “al dente” according to the instructions on the packet, then drain and rinse.  Peel the onion and garlic, cut into fine cubes and place in a bowl.

2. Mix the tomato paste with the tomatoes from the can, the cream, salt and pepper. Stir in the olive oil and mix with the cooked macaroni. Remove the tuna from the can and mix in pieces.

3. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees circulating air (195 degrees top and bottom heat). Rub a medium-sized casserole dish with olive oil and a pressed garlic clove. Fill the dish with the prepared pasta mixture. Finally, top with the cheese and bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes. Enjoy!
