Cream cheese frosted spice cake

one spice cake box mix
1/2 cup softened butter
1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
4 oz cream cheese
2 tbs whole milk


Make the cake according to the directions on the package. Divide the batter among three lined and greased 6 inch cake tins.

Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 22-24 minutes. Allow to cool completely before adding the frosting.

For the frosting: mix together the butter, powdered sugar, cream cheese and milk with a hand mixer until smooth.

Cut the rounded tops off of the cakes and place one layer onto a cake board/small plate. Add a layer of frosting and top with another layer of spice cake. I only used two of the three cakes for a smaller sized cake.


Cover the cake with the rest of the frosting and add your desired toppings. I added some blueberries. I hope you enjoy!!!
