Make sure the ingredients are fresh and finely cut for a delicious, well-balanced crumb sandwich. Enjoy!

  1. Start by preparing the ingredients. Peel the hard-boiled eggs and cut them into thin slices. Next, cut the cooked ham and cheese into thin slices.
  2. Place a slice of bread on a flat surface, such as a cutting board. Spread a thin layer of butter on the slice of bread.
  3. Add a layer of cooked ham on top of the butter.
  4. Next, place a second slice of bread on top of the ham and spread butter on this slice.
  5. Add a layer of cheese on top of the butter.
  6. Continue alternating layers of bread, ham and cheese until you have 6 layers of filling in total. Leave the last slice of bread without butter.
  7. Gently press the sandwich to compact it.
  8. Cover the sandwich with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. This will help the layers stick together and make it easier to cut the sandwich into individual portions.
  9. After the sandwich has rested in the refrigerator, remove the plastic wrap and trim the edges so they are even.
  10. Next, cut the crumb sandwich into triangles or squares, depending on your preference.
  11. Optionally, you can add mayonnaise and mustard when serving. And that’s it! Your crumb sandwich is ready to enjoy. This sandwich is an Argentinian classic and is perfect to serve at gatherings, picnics, or as a tasty snack. I hope you enjoy it!
