SOFT TORTILLAS
This recipe has been a long time in coming, years actually. I’ve been trying out recipes for homemade flour tortillas for what seems like forever – but I’ve never been thrilled with any of them. Definitely not thrilled enough to blog them – too dry, too sticky, too crisp, too bland, too soggy, too complicated. This time, with these flour tortillas, it’s different. They totally live up to their name – Best Ever Homemade Flour Tortillas!
INGREDIENTS
250g (2 cups) flour
470ml (2 cups) of water
5g (1 teaspoon) of salt
5g (1 teaspoon) sugar
15g (1 tablespoon) vegetable oil
METHOD
1. In a bowl add the flour and little by little add the water and mix the dough. When everything is well mixed, add the sugar, salt and oil and mix everything.
2. Preheat the pan and add the batter with the ladle and spread it evenly in a circular motion.
3. Flip the tortilla and bake on both sides. After cooking, cover them with a cloth.
