The ant cake is a real classic. The many chocolate sprinkles and the egg liqueur ensure that the loaf cake is incredibly moist and airy. Everyone loves this cake.

INGREDIENTS

125 g butter
160 g sugar
1 packet of vanilla sugar
2 eggs
200 g flour
2 tsp baking powder
100 g chocolate sprinkles
125 g egg liqueur
200 g whole milk chocolate coating
a little butter for the mold

PREPARATION
Step 1
Mix the butter with the sugar and vanilla sugar until creamy. Gradually stir in the eggs.

Step 2
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (fan oven: 160 degrees). Mix the flour with the baking powder and add to the butter-sugar mixture with the egg liqueur. Mix the dough well.  Add chocolate sprinkles and stir briefly.

Step 3
Grease a loaf pan (25x11cm) and pour in the dough. Smooth it out and bake the cake in the preheated oven for approx. 65 minutes.

Allow to cool completely, then turn it out of the pan. Roughly chop the milk chocolate and melt it in a water bath. Pour the chocolate over the cake and allow it to set.
