If you are a dessert lover, then you will love the nougat cake because it is a simple sweet to prepare and a delight to the palate.  Plus, you won’t need an oven to make it and it doesn’t contain sugar.  Well, the sweetness of the nougat will be enough.  Likewise, it is one of the most delicious cakes prepared at Christmas.  It is even ideal to celebrate a special moment or birthday, since it is very simple to make.  Therefore, we will present all the steps you must follow to prepare it.

Ingredients

The products you will need to prepare the nougat cake are inexpensive and you can probably find them in any store or supermarket near your home.  These are:

• 200 grams of Maria cookies.

• 50 grams of butter.

• 1 glass of milk.

• 400 grams of nougat.

• 250 grams of milk cream.

• 6 gelatin sheets

Steps

To prepare the nougat cake you will not need to bake the cake base, as it is made with cookies.  Also, you will require a 27 cm round mold and a manual or electric mixer, depending on your disposition.  To make it, you do not need to apply rigorous baking techniques, meaning it is a simple dessert and can be made by anyone.  To do that, you simply have to apply these steps:

Step 1

Place the butter in a bowl and put it in the microwave for 60 minutes to melt. If you don’t have this electric device, you can do it on the stove.

Step 2

With the help of a fork, crush the cookies until they become powder.  Then, add the melted butter and a splash of milk to form the dough that will be the base of your cake.

Step 3

Place the dough on the base of the mold and spread it with the help of a spatula.  Reserve in the refrigerator.

Step 4

Immerse the gelatin sheets in water to hydrate them.  Then, crush the nougat and place it in milk and put it on the stove to melt, so they will integrate.  Next, add the cream and continue mixing.

Step 5

Add the gelatin sheets so that they are incorporated into the mixture and make it homogeneous.  Pour into the base that you previously prepared and place in the refrigerator for 8 hours.  Therefore, we recommend making it at night to consume the next day; you can decorate it with almond pieces.
