Tortellini broccoli casserole
The tortellini broccoli casserole with creamy sauce and hearty ham cubes is a hit with the whole family – the perfect dinner when you’re in a hurry!
INGREDIENTS
500 g fresh broccoli
150 g cooked ham
100 g parmesan
1 onion
1 clove of garlic
2 tbsp olive oil
200 ml cream
200 ml vegetable stock
Salt and pepper
Nutmeg
500 g dried tortellini
PREPARATION
1. Wash the broccoli and divide into florets. Roughly dice the ham. Grate the parmesan. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees top and bottom heat (180 degrees fan).
2. Peel and chop the onion and garlic clove. Fry in a pan with olive oil over medium heat until the onions are translucent.
3. Add the broccoli florets and fry over medium heat. As soon as the broccoli is cooked, add the ham cubes and fry for 1-2 minutes.
4. Deglaze with cream and vegetable stock. Season the sauce with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Stir in half of the Parmesan until a creamy sauce is formed.
5. In the meantime, pre-cook the dried tortellini in a large pot of boiling salted water for about 3-4 minutes. Then drain, rinse in cold water and place in the casserole dish.
6. Pour the sauce over the tortellini in the casserole dish. Mix everything together thoroughly and sprinkle with the remaining Parmesan.
7. Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
