*500g plain flour
*Pinch of sea salt
*1 1/4 tsp baking soda
*2 1/4 tsp cream of tartar
*110g vegan butter
*20g sugar
*1 beaten egg
*275ml buttermilk or milk (made mine with 1:1 plant milk + vegan yog  )

👩‍🍳 preheat oven to 220 degrees
👩‍🍳sift flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt, then rub in butter to resemble breadcrumbs
👩‍🍳stir in sugar
👩‍🍳add buttermilk and egg
👩‍🍳bring together and roll out 2cm thick
👩‍🍳cut 12 ish scones (optional rest for 20mins so they look more uniform) and brush with some buttermilk
👩‍🍳bake 10-12 mins


wasn’t planning on sharing this one as I thought it was ‘boring’ but got a few requests for it and the recipe never disappoints
