LEMON POPPYSEED LOAF RECIPE

🌟 INGREDIENTS

◾️2 eggs
◾️1 cup of amasi
◾️½ cup of sunflower oil or melted margarine
◾️1 cup of sugar (or half if you don’t like it sweet)
◾️2 cups of flour
◾️3 teaspoons of poppyseed
◾️2 teaspoons of Royal baking powder
◾️1 teaspoon of grated lemon zest
◾️1 teaspoon of lemon essence

🌟 METHOD

◾️Preheat your stove to 180 for 15min before baking.

◾️Mix all wet ingredients in a big bowl once done.

◾️Sift flour and baking powder together into your wet ingredients.

◾️Add the remaining dry and mix

(please do not overmix)

◾️Grease your loaf pan with oil/butter/baking spray.

◾️Half fill the mix to your loaf pan so that they will rise properly.

◾️Bake for 15/20 min and enjoy

◾️For the icing I used 5 tbsp of icing sugar and 2 tbsp of milk. Mix well and drizzle over the cake once cool.
