Yellow rice

Yellow rice is a vibrant and flavorful dish that adds a burst of color and taste to any meal.


2 cups of rice
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 cloves of garlic finely chopped
½ onion
1 ½ teaspoon turmeric
Salt to taste
½ bell pepper finely chopped
½ cup frozen peas
1 carrot peeled and finely chopped
½ cup shelled yellow corn
3 cups chicken broth
1 bay leaf


1-BLEND the onion with a cup of chicken broth and set aside.

2-HEAT a pot, add the butter, garlic and turmeric;  cook for a
minute and without stopping moving.

3-ADD the rice and cook until golden;  add the carrots and bell pepper.

4-ADD three cups of chicken broth, salt, bay leaf, peas and corn kernels;  Mix until everything is well incorporated.

5-COVER the pot and boil over low heat for 20 minutes;  After this time, remove the pot from the heat and let the rice rest, covered, for 10 minutes.

6-UNCOVER the yellow rice and fluff it with the help of a fork.

7-SERVE this delicious yellow rice with vegetables and enjoy.
